Cliff Williams Confirms Exit

Known was it already longer, now it is confirmed officially: AC/DC Bassist Cliff Williams has announced his exit from the Band after the Rock Or Bust Tour, which ended today.

In a on the official YouTube channel of the Band have released a Video, Williams explained his decision: “It is time to stop for me, and that's all. Not because we have lost Phil or Brian. I mean, everything changes, when something like this happens. When Bon died, it changed everything at that time. But, you know, not everything is changing, this is it. It's just... I'm ready to leave the road, really, and to do what I do.”

“Between tours, we had a few years break,” says Williams, “so I know what I'm going to do now. Again, it is easy for me at the time. I'm happy. Now I want to just have family time and relax and not do this here.”

The 66-year-old Williams, the oldest AC/DC member was next to Angus Young. Got in mid-1977, he made his band debut on “Powerage”. According to Malcolm Young, Phil Rudd and singer Brian Johnson Cliff Williams is the fourth long-standing member of the Band since 2014.
