Guitarist Joakim Karlsson Left The Band
April 28, 2019

Joakim Karlsson has left BLOODBATH.

The guitarist announced his departure via a Statement that was released today Morning on the Facebook page of the Band. He wrote: "I put my BLOODBATH vest. To be honest, I considered to me, never really as a guitarist – at least not as a particularly good – just as someone who plays out of necessity guitar, because I otherwise might not write my music. BLOODBATH is in need of a Lead guitarist; someone that can move this fast, evil solos, and so on, and to be quite honest, this guy, I'm just not. BLOODBATH needs someone who can meet them.“

Further, it States: "I had pretty much only good moments with the Band and I'm glad to be in the last year and a half, but now I'm going to do other things. (I vaguely remember that I had a main band that didn't get in last year, the attention it deserves. I think I am going to focus for a while.) (...) I hope I've managed at least to bring some of you to hear CRAFT. By the way, some of you have speculated about what kind of Songs I've written for BLOODBATHs last Album 'The Arrow Of Satan Is Drawn'. I wrote 'Wayward Samaritan' (music/lyrics), 'Only The Dead Survive' (music, together with the former CRAFT-guitarist John Doe), 'Ride The Waves Of Fire' (music/lyrics) and 'Wide Eyed Abandon' (music)."

BLOODBATH have announced no replacement for Karlsson. The Band will be driving with Tomas Åkvik of the CPI as a touring guitarist.

"The Arrow Of Satan Is Drawn" was released last October via Peaceville.
