The New EP Velvet Video For The Title Track
The Faroe Islands-born Doomster HAMFERÐ publish on 12. April, the new 12" EP "Ódn" via Metal Blade Records. This EP contains the previously unreleased title track on side A, and a new Version of "Deyðir Varðar" on the B-side, which was originally on the Album "Fit" is included. Both Songs were recorded live at different locations. The Video for the title track, which at 17. March 2018 in the old Sjónleikarahúsið theatre in Tórshavna was taken, you can see here:
The Band says: "For the 10-year anniversary of the Band we would like to present to you the very first Song, the Hamferð have ever composed. For the first time, we have him in the autumn of 2008, however, he was, as yet, unpublished. It consists of three very different Parts, which present our music, but still good. The Parts follow the story of a Sailor who is initially an incredibly stormy ocean brave again, and then his life reflects what he has spent on the sea, which is now threatening his life before he surrenders to the waves. Translated, the title "mighty storm" or "hurricane"means."
Hamferð on the B-side "Deyðir Varðar": "A man wanders through the misty mountains in search of his missing son. A suitable story to tell during an Eclipse of the sun over the mountains of the Faroe Islands. 'Deyðir Varðar' originally comes from the "Fit"of the Album and the Song was at this Event and this is the raw, unbridled Performance, which we have delivered above the village of Kvivik on a cold Morning in March of 2015."
