UPDATE: After two days ago, a Video in the network caused quite a stir in the Phil Anselmo at a Charity concert on the stage of the Hitler salute shows, the Ex-PANTERA frontman of fierce criticism. Among other things, posted a Rob Flynn (MACHINE HEAD) a longer Video on the Youtube Account of his Band. Flynn condemns the action and says: “I do not understand why something within the scene is tolerated. It is simply wrong. There is no place in Metal for something like this. And if it is it should be – then I'm out.“

What happened so far: Phil Anselmo (DOWN, SUPERJOINT RITUAL, Ex-PANTERA) made at the Dimebash Charity Event in 2016, at 22. January in Hollywood, California, with a doubt as action for attention. At the Event, several artists performed to raise money for charity, sent the frontman at the end of the song “Walk” a Nazi salute in the direction of the audience, to call then “White Power”. Youtuber Chris R has captured the Moment – if only by accident – and put on the web, which has made for a massive debate.

Anselmo himself, who in the past, among other things, due to a “White Power”-speech for the Controversy, commenting on the Video and tried to justify himself with the following Statement:

“Ok folks, I'll own this one, but dammit, I was joking, and the “inside joke of the night” what because we were drinking f—ing white wine, hahaha... Of all the f—ing things. Some of y'all need to thicken up your skin. There’s plenty of f—ers to pick on with a more realistic agenda. I f—ing love everyone, I f—ing loathe everyone, and that's that. No apologies from me.“
